Professional activities primarily in areas such as business development and innovation management, in strategic positions such as controlling and marketing as well as in consulting companies and start-ups.

Our graduates find their positions

a) in companies

Positions arise in medium-sized and larger companies, for example in a) staff / strategy areas, b) management / board assistance, c) business development departments or d) functional areas such as »controlling, finance, human resources, marketing, sales «. Master's graduates bring with them concepts and methods of how »development, change, innovation processes and projects« have to be designed for the company or its areas.

b) in consulting companies

Positions arise both in process, project and innovation consulting. The master’s graduates bring both an understanding and methods of advice to the table in order to be able to act successfully in a customer-oriented manner.

c) in start-up companies

Positions arise both in newly founded companies of »entrepreneurs« as well as in founding companies of innovative subsidiaries of corporations. The master’s graduates bring approaches and expertise with them on how to run a newly founded company in a “stable” manner in the first years of development. Experience: approx. 90% of the Master’s graduates started their careers immediately after receiving their Masters of Science degree in Applied Business Innovation. Another 10% signed their employment contract within 4 months of completing their studies

Companies are looking for development-oriented and innovative employees or young managers. The focus is on imparting skills in order to be able to participate in the initiation, conception and implementation of innovative projects and agile processes. We also make sure that the selected master’s students have very good English language skills and an intercultural understanding: Because the graduates should also be able to work at different European or international locations. Our goal is to qualify master’s students who

• professionally support and lead agile project management,
• participate in strategy departments or "business development units" in the development and implementation of future and innovation ideas,
• actively helping to shape innovation and change consulting in various company areas (e.g. as an in-house consultant or organizational developer),
• Developing and communicating outstanding innovation concepts as an assistant to (upper) managers,
• Bringing an excellent understanding of customer orientation to a management consulting company

A multi-month internship abroad is supported: After the 2nd semester of study, you can go to an internationally operating company for several months in order to concentrate on a work / company focus on site, also as part of a master's thesis. Intercultural training and studies on setting up German companies abroad will prepare you for work abroad. Workshops / teamwork

The workshops and seminars at the Pasing campus thrive on intensive collaboration with other master's students and close collaboration with professors / lecturers. This leads to numerous joint activities such as group work or excursion preparations, in which every student has to contribute.

Excursions

Excursions in / around Munich and abroad should help to gain more extensive experience in direct exchange with company representatives (excursions can be prerequisites for admission to exams). (Foreign) excursions can be compulsory and lead to travel costs of up to € 300 per semester.
