Project modules

During your studies, you have the opportunity to apply the technical skills you have learned to a practical context in five project modules. Here you develop a problem solution for a practice partner using a concrete practical example or work on an extensive case study in the specialist area. The processing takes place both in small groups and individually.

Practical semester

The professional internship is a part of the training integrated into the Digital Product Management degree program, regulated by the university, determined in terms of content, supervised and accompanied by courses, which usually takes place in a company or in another institution of professional practice to the extent of at least 20 weeks will be paid.

The goal of the internship semester is to combine study and professional practice. On the basis of the knowledge acquired in the first part of the course, knowledge application skills and practical experience should be imparted and the processing of specific problems in the desired professional field made possible.

During the first two semesters, the focus is on learning business, IT, quantitative and economic fundamentals.

From the second year of study, the basics learned are broadened and continuously deepened in three key areas: Digital Experience, Digital Products, Digital Management. These three focus areas make up the special character of the course. They are mandatory for the students, as they are required in their entirety to meet the complex tasks of digital product managers.

All focus areas, as well as the computer science and law exams, are characterized by project modules in which the students are enabled to carry out projects independently, individually or in groups.

In the fifth semester, the students apply the knowledge they have gained in the practical semester in the form of a 20-week internship and reflect on it after the internship.

The final thesis (bachelor thesis) is intended to prove that the candidate is able to quickly and methodically familiarize himself with a new, unknown problem from his area of ​​expertise. The topic must be worked on independently within a limited time frame by applying scientific methods and knowledge. The work results are to be presented and defended in a final colloquium.
