The focus is on the cultural area of ​​the British Isles and on the countries shaped by Great Britain. Depending on your interests, the combination of Modules II and IV can broaden the scope of the B.A. be continued or an epoch or subject area can be studied in depth. An interdisciplinary module offers students the opportunity to explore the traditions and diversification of Anglophone literatures, cultures and languages ​​in a larger context. The complementary and interdisciplinary orientation of the master's program is supplemented by compulsory elective courses from related disciplines. The aim is to supplement and expand the desired research perspective in specific areas of English studies through a broad and transdisciplinary range of teaching and research. Another important component of the research-oriented Master's program is the "Research Workshop" module and the associated courses in the field of theory and methodology. Here, as in the "Professional Orientation" module, the focus is in particular on the early participation of the students in research projects in English studies and an introduction to independent scientific work.
