Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Media Informatics"
Graduates of the media informatics course are able to design and program graphical user interfaces. Based on the imparting of theoretical basics and practical applications, competencies in the areas of Design , Information Technology , Programming , Software Development , IT security , databases / analysis and digital ethics . The training pursues a practice-oriented , interdisciplinary and user-centered development of digital applications. Graduates are enabled to implement multimedia applications taking into account information technology and design framework conditions with regard to the requirements specified by the customer and expected by the user.
The aim of the course is to provide students with the necessary technical, method and social skills that are required for responsible action in the professional field of media informatics in a multimedia and digital environment.

The 7th semester of the course is intended for a practical project as well as the thesis. Ideally, the practical project and thesis build on one another so that the students can work on a comprehensive task and apply the knowledge they have learned.
Учебный план программы обучения "Media Informatics"
The media informatics course consists of six theoretical and one practical semester. The theoretical part of the course is divided into three phases, each with two semesters.
The basic course in the 1st and 2nd semester conveys the basics of design and computer science on which the further course builds.
In the 3rd and 4th semester, the core course follows with subject-specific modules that include typical topics from media informatics such as software development and game design as well as web development, web design and usability . The design skills are deepened, plus knowledge in the field of Virtual / Augmented Reality and User Experience Design . Further topics are IT security , Artificial intelligence , Computer networks and Database systems .
In the 5th and 6th semesters, students have the opportunity to deepen individual topics. You can also set subject-specific elective modules and your own priorities. The elective modules can for example - depending on the current offer - from the areas Human Interface Design , Immersive Technologies , Internet , Game programming , audio technology , programming , AI , app and web development etc. can be selected. All students take the Interdisciplinary software development project .

Ideally, the practical project and thesis build on each other so that the students can work on a comprehensive task and implement the knowledge they have learned. After successfully passing the bachelor's examination, the Hof University of Applied Sciences awards the academic degree Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) .

In order to bundle the research activities of the faculty, the Institute for Information Systems (iisys) was created as one of the first institutes at a university of applied sciences in Bavaria.
