ASH Berlin - tradition and modernity

The unique profile of the Alice Salomon Hochschule results from its exciting history as well as its long tradition. Diversity and gender mainstreaming, health promotion and family friendliness as well as cultural work and international exchange have a high priority in day-to-day work.

ASH Berlin is the largest state SAGE university (social work, health and education) in Germany. It is a research-active and practice-oriented university.

With interdisciplinary courses and an international network of research collaborations and partner universities, the ASH Berlin offers a wide range of career and further training perspectives in the areas of social work, health and education in childhood.

In order to promote the necessary, science-based professionalization in these professional fields, the ASH Berlin promotes the academization of the SAGE professions. She advocates more recognition, decision-making powers, better pay and the right to award doctorates for her graduates.
