More details about Faculty 07 - Mathematics and Computer Science, Physics, Geography:
The Department of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, Geography is in an open-minded university and urban environment. The institutes of mathematics and computer science as well as physics lie (with the exception of the respective specialized didactics) in the complex "natural sciences" at and in the proximity of the Heinrich Buff ring in the south of the city area.
The Institute of Geography is located in the so-called 'Armory' area, right in the city center. The Institute of Atomic and Molecular Physics is housed in the building of the former Radiation Center on the Leihgesterner Weg. The three didactics institutes are predominantly active in teacher training and are therefore located together with other specialized didactics institutes in the so-called Philosphikum II Campus in the southeast of the city.
