The range of courses in national and international health care is geared towards the needs of the growth and future market of the healthcare industry, a decent supply of addressees and the interests of students. The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences offers undergraduate and part-time courses in healthcare.

As the first undergraduate course, the Bachelor of Applied Sports Science was successfully introduced in the winter semester 2014/2015. For the winter semester 2015/2016, further undergraduate courses started in Deggendorf, on the one hand the dual physiotherapy program with a focus on movement science and the bachelor dual care. Currently, another undergraduate course has started for the winter semester 2017/2018 with the Bachelor of Health Informatics.
As of October 1st, 2015, the Bachelor International Tourism Management / Health and Medical Tourism and the Master Medical Informatics implemented two English-language international courses at the Pfarrkirchen location with great success. The Master's degree in International Tourism Management started in the summer semester of 2017 and the Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics in the following winter semester of 2017/2018, both also in English.
Since 2011, the vocational bachelor of nursing education for registered nurses with professional experience has offered a qualification as a teacher at vocational schools for nursing professions. In 2015, a part-time Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy with a university degree in manual therapy and osteopathy started for the first time. With the degree program Pedagogy in Rescue Services, another part-time Bachelor's degree will be introduced in the summer semester 2018 in cooperation with the Bavarian Red Cross. These courses are organized by the THD training center.
Our highly motivated students are well prepared for their professional careers after completing their studies in institutions in Germany and abroad. This is done, among other things, by networking theory and practice. Practical orientation and industry knowledge combined with knowledge, excellent professors, academic staff and course assistants as well as highly motivated administrative support contribute to our success.
