The Faculty of Computer Science of Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest and most recognized computer science departments at German universities of applied sciences. A committed team of 50 professorships, 60 employees and more than 100 lecturers currently supervises almost 2,000 students in interesting degree programs at undergraduate and master level.

As early as 1999, we were one of the first faculties in Germany to develop Bachelor's and Master's degree programs, which have meanwhile been repeatedly improved and reaccredited. Since 2017, we have our own doctoral degree, so that students of our department after the master's program at our university can also acquire the doctoral degree. Alternatively, our doctoral candidates qualify in cooperation with universities - in this way over 30 doctorates have already been completed.

As a student or prospective student, the size of the department offers you the advantage that you can move throughout your studies in the entire spectrum of computer science, from theory to various fields of application (eg IT security, big data, augmented reality) towards questions of economic efficiency in computer science.
