Kaiserslautern is one of Germany's largest computer science sites, whose core is the computer science department.
Since its founding in 1974, three well-known research institutes have emerged from its internationally successful work.
With 24 professorships, the department covers all areas of computer science and can thus do justice to the importance of computer science as a key competence for almost all sciences at the TU and continue to take over the central role of computer science research and development in Kaiserslautern.
