Research
The Landscape Use and Nature Conservation Department has numerous research activities and, at over one million euros per year, has one of the highest third-party funding rates of the university's four departments. The department thus makes an important contribution to the university's third-party funding strength - the HNE Eberswalde is regularly one of the first places in the third-party funding ranking of German universities of applied sciences.
In 2008, research professorships were introduced at Brandenburg's technical colleges. This was unique nationwide. Since 2009 research professorships can be awarded at the HNE Eberswalde. Three research professorships are located in the Department of Landscape Use and Nature Conservation - this is also a pleasing expression of the research strength of the department and the above-average acquisition of third-party funds.
