The faculty of mechanical engineering of the Leibniz Universität Hannover is distinguished by its research performance and its variety of subjects. It is structured into three core areas of “production technology and logistics”, “energy and process technology” and “construction and development”. A total of 18 institutes belong to the individual areas. These combine the entire basic knowledge of general mechanical engineering. The Dean's Office, the Dean of Studies Office, the institutes and the faculty’s central institutions jointly realize numerous tasks in order to make research and teaching qualitative, up-to-date and appealing. The faculty’s outstanding teaching and research quality was certified with the seal of approval by the day of faculties for mechanical engineering and process engineering (FTMV).Research activity:
