More details about Faculty of Social Sciences:

Research, training and transfer

Two institutes are active in the field of further education, research and transfer: The Institute for Research and Further Education (IFW) conducts scientific further education and innovative research projects in social and educational fields of action and thus supports the transfer of knowledge between science and practice. The Institute for Education and Childcare | Rhineland-Palatinate (IBEB) aims to combine findings, concepts, knowledge and innovations of the university in mutual transfer and discourse with practice and politics.

Open to diversity and difference

The Faculty of Social Sciences advocates a wide variety of identities and affiliations through which people differ from one another as individuals and promotes an open, appreciative and non-discriminatory approach to this diversity. The diversity of students on the one hand and in our departmental team on the other hand is respected as an important resource for the organizational and scientific future development. The department also opposes any form of disadvantage and discrimination that people may experience due to individual and diverse linked categories of difference (gender, ethnic origin, socio-cultural affiliation, religion, affected by disabilities, age, sexual orientation and others).
