The Faculty of Transport Science "Friedrich List" is the largest academic competence center in the field of transport science in Germany with university research and teaching that has been based in Dresden for over 60 years. With its complex systems science approach, it is oriented towards the complexity of transport and communications and thus takes into account the dynamic challenges of the transport markets. With its interdisciplinary teaching and research network from transport economics, transport engineering, transport infrastructure and transport technology, it makes an important contribution to the sustainable development of all transport and infrastructure systems in order to meet the constantly growing mobility needs of society.
The faculty has 7 institutes with over 20 professors and more than 300 employees.
A total of around 2,000 students study in the diploma, bachelor's and master's degree programs of the faculty as well as across faculties.
