Sustainability and mobility are our guiding principles
On the one hand, it is the specialized depth in a combination of traditional and very modern, future-oriented courses, but also the breadth of the training on offer that makes this faculty so attractive!
For students - because on the basis of the chosen subject you have the opportunity to specialize in line with your individual interests and thus acquire important interdisciplinary and intercultural skills as graduates.
For industry - because there is a wide range of specialists among colleagues who can also competently deal with very complex issues (e.g. sustainable solutions for transport mobility, development of economic processes for renewable products, energy, etc.) and because we can offer your future employees future-oriented training with specialist knowledge, intercultural and social skills.
For innovative research - because current future topics require inter- and intradisciplinary cooperation. Just think of sustainable developments for a basic need of all living beings: to be mobile. This does not just mean mobility in cars and their further development, but also the activity of everyday life (health), virtual mobility.
The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has published a practical guide to innovation management entitled "Sharing knowledge and winning markets". It makes it clear that multidisciplinary networking between science and business is necessary in order to ensure mobility and sustainable development economically and ecologically. We cannot do this to the full extent in our faculty. However, we believe that by "living" this multidisciplinarity in the faculty, we can give our graduates food for thought for appropriate flexibility in an increasingly complex world.
