Mit ihrer School of Education verfolgt die Bergische Universität Wuppertal die Ziele,
- bildungswissenschaftliche Kompetenzen für den Lehrerberuf zu vermitteln,
- schulbezogene Bildungsforschung durchzuführen und
- die an der Lehrerbildung Mitwirkenden koordinierend zusammenzuführen.
Die School of Education wirkt wesentlich an dem Vorhaben Kohärenz in der Lehrerbildung (KoLBi) der Bergischen Universität Wuppertal mit, das im Rahmen der Bund-Länder-Initiative Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung durch das Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) gefördert wird.
