THE T-COURSE MAKES STUDIES IN GERMANY POSSIBLE

If you have a school-leaving certificate that is not sufficient for studying in Germany, or if you have completed a degree abroad that is not recognized for university studies in Germany, then you can take a T-course at the International Preparatory College received the necessary qualification from the University of Paderborn in order to be able to study. The "T" stands for "technical and scientific subjects". Similarly, the International Preparatory College in Paderborn also offers the W course. The "W" in W course stands for economics and social sciences. In both areas, you can subsequently qualify for admission-free bachelor's degree programs at the University of Paderborn or at another German university. The technical and scientific subjects are the so-called MINT courses. MINT stands for mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.

A T COURSE QUALIFIES FOR STEM

The T course lasts two semesters. In total, you can count on a period of nine months. The so-called assessment test (FSP) takes place at the end of the course. After passing the exam, you can apply to a university - i.e. university or technical college - for a Bachelor's degree in MINT subjects anywhere in the Federal Republic of Germany. Participants in the APS special procedure (countries of China, Mongolia, Vietnam) can apply to a university in the entire state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Thanks to the cooperation between the International Preparatory College and the University of Paderborn, all graduates are guaranteed a place on the course. The guarantee applies to admission-free bachelor's degree programs in STEM subjects. Examples include: industrial engineering (Wing), chemistry, physics, computer science, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering. The assessment test (FSP) of the preparatory college is state-recognized and is carried out internally at the University of Paderborn on behalf of the district government of Cologne.

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT TEST (FSP)

The official assessment test takes place at the end of the course (in December/January or in June/July). You can apply to a German university / university of applied sciences immediately after passing the exam. When choosing a university, you are not limited to the University of Paderborn. It doesn't matter whether it's RWTH Aachen, TU Munich or the universities in Cologne, Berlin or Hamburg: After passing the assessment test, you can apply for a bachelor's degree in Germany!

THE FINAL EXAM IN PADERBORN

Another highlight of our preparatory college is that we hold the state-recognized assessment test on behalf of the Cologne district government at the University of Paderborn. You don't have to travel far, you can take the final exam in a familiar environment. Our lecturers will prepare you for your own exam. Thus, the lesson content fits perfectly with the exam.
