With the integrated international year, the Architecture Department reacts to the globalization of the labor market and the associated international and interdisciplinary requirements in the professional field. During the year abroad, you acquire a special technical, interdisciplinary or vocational qualification and start building a professional international network at an early stage.
Students of "Architektur +" can apply for a partial scholarship with fringe benefits from the DAAD's "Bachelor Plus" program for the duration of their stay abroad.
Учебный план программы обучения "Architecture Plus"
The "Architecture +" course starts in the 4th semester . Students from the Bachelor's degree in Architecture can apply.
The achievements are assessed according to the "European Credit Transfer System". One credit point corresponds to a workload of 30 hours. The entire bachelor's degree "Architecture +" comprises 240 LP .
The course is divided into five competence areas :
- Cultural and historical knowledge
- Representation and design
- Construct and build
- Design and planning: city and landscape
- Design and planning: Buildings
The optional in the 5th / 6th or 6./7. International module integrated in the semester offers a high degree of flexibility by enabling both a one-year study abroad and a combination of studies, practical semesters and / or participation in research and planning projects at partner universities. The content-related focus and the structural process are put together according to individual interests. Organizational hurdles are largely eliminated through cooperation agreements with renowned universities.

If more applicants meet the admission requirements than there are places available, the places will be awarded according to the result of the university's own selection process.
In addition to the HZB, the special suitability of the applicants is taken into account in the selection process. The determination of the particular suitability takes place through an aptitude interview, which is thematically linked to the letter of motivation (§ 2 Paragraph 2 a) as well as to the creative and design task (§ 2 Paragraph 2 b).
The selection decision is made as follows: A ranking list is assigned based on the grade of the university entrance qualification in combination with the evaluation of the selection interview (§ 4). The university entrance qualification is weighted with 51%, the grade of the interview with 49%. The ranking of the applicants in the selection process is determined with the procedural grade determined in this way. In the event of a tie, the lot decides.
The selection committee makes the selection decision internally. The notifications are issued by the matriculation office for the presidium.
In addition, the general provisions of the university's enrollment regulations that apply to admission remain unaffected.
