AI methods have made enormous progress in recent years and are already part of our everyday lives. Accordingly, the need for qualified AI experts is increasing. However, applications of AI in an industrial context often require complex approaches that are only possible through deeper understanding and higher intelligence concepts. This is exactly where the AI master's degree comes in: the goal is to train AI experts who can develop and evaluate software systems with strong AI functionality.

The master's degree program increases the ability to work as well as further academic qualifications, especially doctorates, and lifelong learning. The graduates qualify, for example, for positions in research and industry such as data scientist, AI engineer, AI software engineer and others.

Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Artificial Intelligence"

The aim of the English-language master's degree program in Artificial Intelligence (MAI) is to train AI experts who are familiar with the corresponding algorithms, models and social challenges of AI and can develop and evaluate software systems with AI functionality. After completing their studies, graduates will be able to independently develop solutions for standard and individual AI systems, use innovative technologies in AI systems in industrial and non-industrial environments, and further specialize.

MAI is a consecutive, research-oriented master's degree program. The focus is on a deep scientific understanding of AI techniques. Since the use of AI in practice leads to significant changes in society, students take courses on AI ethics, law and the sociological consequences of AI in order to be able to responsibly shape the transformation process. The master's degree increases both the ability to work, as well as for further academic qualifications, especially for doctorates, and for lifelong learning. The graduates qualify, for example, for positions in research and industry such as data scientist, AI engineer, AI software engineer and others.

Since a large number of potential employers in the AI industry operate globally, students are strongly encouraged to stay abroad. The faculty supports this through a variety of partnerships with universities abroad.

The master's degree course extends over 3 semesters and, in addition to in-depth knowledge of AI, provides extensive skills for implementing AI methods and models in practice.

Practical projects and early involvement of students in the work within the AI laboratories are integrated into the course.

By working in a laboratory-related environment, students gain an early and intensive insight into methods of scientific work.

Since the use of AI in practice leads to significant changes in society, students also take courses on AI ethics, law and the sociological consequences of AI in order to be able to responsibly shape the transformation process.
