From a scientific point of view, business informatics is an independent discipline that has distinct intersections with business administration and computer science and increasingly addresses other stakeholder groups such as public administration, politics and private individuals. The focus of research and teaching at Chemnitz Business Informatics is the development of innovative concepts in the areas of business intelligence, big data, business process management and Web 2.0.
