In addition to the major in mathematics, the bachelor's degree in business mathematics also includes study content in the compulsory subject of computer science and in one of the subjects economics (WiWi) or economics (VWL). The course is an application-oriented, mathematical course that takes into account the current and future problems of the economy in a special way.

Учебный план программы обучения "Business Mathematics"
The basic modules are followed by the advanced mathematical modules of the lecture cycle Introduction to Applied Mathematics . The advanced modules each consist of a lecture with the associated exercises. One of the four modules can be replaced by a module from the Lecture Catalog of Applied Mathematics or Analysis III.
There are many options for the focus module Mathematics (BSc-WM-SMM): Courses in Applied Mathematics or Pure Mathematics, Analysis III or three courses lasting at least two hours are possible the actuarial field.
In the focus module Seminar (BSc-WM-SMS) there is a choice between a seminar in applied mathematics, pure mathematics or mathematical computer science.

University of CologneWith its six departments, 23 institutes, around 170 professorships and over 14,000 students, our faculty is one of the largest in the country. The wide range of modern degree programs is closely linked to the diverse and high-level research activities, which cover a wide range of predominantly fundamental aspects, e.g. Some of them also cover application-related topics.
