The students are in an employment relationship with a company right from the start. You will study during the semester and go through work and training phases in the companies during the semester break.
Parallel to the theoretical studies at the university, the practical work and training in the companies should take place in close coordination in order to achieve a duality between operational work and scientific training.
In contrast to the non-dual bachelor's degree in computer science, which is based on a standard period of study of 6 semesters, the bachelor's degree in dual studies in computer science is designed for 7 semesters, although the coursework credited by the University of Siegen also amounts to 180 CP.

University of SiegenAt the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Siegen, a wide range of research activities are carried out in the eight sub-disciplines of biology, civil engineering, chemistry, electrical engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, mathematics and physics.
Profile-forming research focuses in the faculty are the topics of sensor technology, including chemical sensors, materials science and resource-saving systems, including vehicle technology. In addition, there is a research focus in the field of particle and astroparticle physics.
