As an application-oriented subject, information systems has its own methods and tools and draws on the disciplines of economics and computer science. Other important auxiliary disciplines are mathematics and statistics. Thus, research and teaching content from the listed disciplines is taught during the degree programme.
The study programme provides an overview of the design possibilities using information technology (IT) and conveys an understanding of possible areas of application in the context of companies or in everyday life. The focus is on the design and development of information and application systems to support processes and activities within and between organisations and households.
