How does a T-shirt actually get into business? Where do the raw materials come from? Why is production being relocated abroad? And how does the price come about? You will deal with such questions in the International Business Studies course. In principle, International Business Studies is international business administration. Business administration is generally concerned with the management, control and organization of companies. International Business Studies does this on an international level. Many companies operate internationally and have branches and cooperation partners around the world. Raw materials are obtained from abroad or the goods are manufactured there. This requires business economists who coordinate and organize the processes in the company, but also observe the international market. For example, they create market analyzes to identify country-specific trends such as people's purchasing behavior, take into account cultural differences and develop suitable strategies. At the same time, they keep an eye on the country-specific rules and laws that they must observe in their business activities.

After completing the degree programme International Business Studies you can enter many occupationls fields. During your studies, you gained a broad business fundamental knowledge which allows you to work in very different sectors. Depending on what specialisations you chose you can specialise in certain professional fields. You have an international education, have a high-level language proficiency and are able to act internationally and understand overlapping relationships. On the labour market, you so have an advantage over your fellow applicants and have many professional opportunities in small and medium sized companies and big corporations as well - both on national and international level.
As a rule, in big corporations you start your professional career e as a trainee. Here, you get to know certain professional areas of the company better and you can then specialise in one area. In small and medium sized businesses you mostly get directly into the job and often take a position with more responsibility much quicker.

Study without borders: You learn interrelationships in business at international level and overcome country, language and coultural borders through a stay abroad. We so promote your intercultural flexibility and provide you with a decisive advantage on the international employment market.
In the degree programme International Business Studies we put special emphasis on an international approach of the study programme. Students pass their last year at one of our partner universities, get to know foreign languages and cultures, to be able to move confidently in an international employment market after studies.
Учебный план программы обучения "International Business Studies"
If you meet the entry requirements, you can apply for a place in the International Business Studies course. Admission is usually based on a grade ranking list. If you are admitted, a whole new phase of life begins for you: in your studies, unlike in school, you can decide for yourself which events you want to attend and when you take which exams.
To do this, however, you should be familiar with the examination regulations for your degree program, in which all rules and requirements are bindingly laid down. There you will find, for example, which modules are compulsory for you, which you are free to choose and when you have to register for exams.
Each semester consists of six different modules that are offered either as lectures, exercises or internships. In a module, you deal with a specific topic for a semester. To do this, you visit the events on offer every week. Here you also often work with your fellow students in groups. Each module ends with an examination, which is usually taken at the end of the current semester. If you have successfully completed a module, you will receive 5 credits (also called ECTS or credit points) and a grade, which will be credited to your "study account". 30 credits are provided for each semester, so that you earn a total of 180 credits in the 6-semester course International Business Studies (English or French-speaking branch) and 240 credits in the 8-semester course (Spanish, English or multilingual branch). If you have completed all course requirements, you will receive a double degree.
At the beginning of the course there are a number of information events in which the course of the course is explained to you in detail. At the Faculty of Business and Economics, there are also many contacts at your side to help you get started with your studies.
