The special feature of the Industrial Engineering course is its strong international focus. International industrial relationships require fluent communication with foreign business associates, in addition to good intercultural skills. The course therefore includes in-depth language training to help you meet these requirements. Studying two foreign languages plus a semester spent abroad are compulsory elements of the course. As well as this, several modules are held in English only. The curriculum allows you to acquire several credit points abroad, especially during your internship semester and for the modules to be completed in your 6th and 7th semesters. In particular, the specialization modules are flexible enough to allow the recognition of course credits acquired abroad. In addition to this, the course gives you a firm foundation in a wide range of technical and business-related subjects, enabling you to work in several technical and business management fields. Augsburg University of Applied Sciences maintains a large network of partner universities worldwide. In addition to the opportunity to spend one or two semesters abroad, a double degree can also be obtained from a partner university. Around 150 incoming and outgoing students ensure an intensive student exchange every year. The International Week offers a varied lecture program with guests from our partner universities and personal contact options. The course combines economic and technical issues. Its peculiarity lies in its strong international orientation. Several modules are offered exclusively in English, a second foreign language is mandatory. The course imparts a balanced mix of language, methods, leadership and intercultural skills. During the orientation phase, you will learn the basics of general business administration and industrial management. Controlling, electrical engineering, mathematics, mechanics and materials physics are other key teaching topics. You will then expand your knowledge of economics, electrical power engineering, automation technology, IT, production and logistics, cost and performance accounting, as well as personnel management and organization. After the practical semester in an industrial company, the two specialization modules economy and technology are available in the last academic year. A number of credits can also be acquired abroad. Augsburg University of Applied SciencesStudying in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering opens up a varied professional field in the engineering disciplines. The courses offered range from Nanotechnology to Microelectronics and Machine Technology, Energy Distribution or Electronic Communication Networks. Energy technology and its optimization, above all with regard to the conservation of resources and regenerative energies or modern drivetrain engineering are markets for electrical engineers. Today everyone is in the position to access electrical energy at any time and in any quantity required or to communicate with others, but it is not exclusively about electrical contacts but about creating contacts between man and the machine. This diversity described is mirrored in Mechatronics, an interaction between Mechanics, Electronics and Informatics.
