Программа обучения Mechatronics

Программа обучения "Mechatronics" в Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences

Mechatronik

A special feature of mechatronics is the processing of interdisciplinary topics (e.g. cooperation with Karlsruhe Zoo or in agriculture and with various companies...) and participation in student "large projects" (e.g. Mechatronic Competence Team in the area robotics) and research topics. This way you can show the skills you have learned directly. From the fourth semester onwards, you will choose from one of the following areas of focus, in which you will specialize in two main modules: "Microtechnology", "Robotics and Bionics", "Aeronautical Engineering", "Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Environmental Technology".

Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Mechatronics"

Mechatronics engineers can be used competently as “all-rounders” in both mechanical engineering and electrical engineering environments. Typically they develop systems and for this they need an overview and extensive technical understanding. Therefore they are in great demand in industry - e.g. B. as development engineers, project managers or later also in technical management. In short, studying mechatronics is the ideal field for technically interested students who do not want to commit to one direction at the beginning of their studies, but can still choose from many professional options at the end of their studies.

The areas of activity of mechatronics engineers are diverse:

  • Research and development
  • Technical advice
  •  Sales, marketing, service
  •  Production, manufacturing

Where mechatronics engineers will later work:

  • Mechanical and plant engineering
  • Electrical engineering and electronics
  • Automotive and aviation industries
  • Automation technology
  • Robotics, microsystems and precision engineering
  • Print and media technology
  • Audio and video industry
  • Medical technology

Международный обмен по программе обучения "Mechatronics"

There are numerous options for completing parts of your studies abroad.

The HKA’s international programs can also be used:

INGENIUM

Cooperation with 9 other universities in the EU; You can take courses at these partner universities, and financial support is also possible.

BA.International@HKA

You take the regular MECB program plus one semester and gain additional international experience; In total, you will complete at least one semester abroad.

Стажировки и практика в программе обучения "Mechatronics"

In the 5th semester you will complete a practical study semester for 20 weeks, which you will complete in a company of your choice. There you can, for example, be involved in projects in the areas of development, production or sales. This gives you the early opportunity to apply the knowledge you have acquired in practice and at the same time get to know the operational processes in a company. During this time, you will be supervised by a professor at the university. All students are responsible for finding a suitable training company and a suitable project. We support you in finding a suitable place as well as in the implementation and follow-up.

Учебный план программы обучения "Mechatronics"

The standard period of study for the Bachelor's degree program in Mechatronics is 7 semesters. The course is divided into 2 semesters of basic study and 5 semesters of main study. 30 ECTS credit points are awarded per semester. In order to enable you to start your studies as successfully as possible, we offer you the "Successful Start" program: You can then divide the first semester into two semesters with additional support and exercises in mathematics - experience shows that this is an effective measure for increasing academic success is; especially if your experience in mathematics dates back a little and is no longer as present.

From the fourth semester onwards, you will choose from one of the following areas, which you will specialize in during your studies with two focus modules:

  • Microtechnology
  • Robotics and bionics
  • Aeronautical Engineering
  • Refrigeration, air conditioning, environmental technology

In the fifth semester you will complete an internship semester in a company of your choice. Our advisors in the internship office will support you with the search and implementation. In addition to the compulsory lectures, it is possible to take elective subjects from the General Studies during the main course according to one's own interests. The final bachelor's thesis in the seventh semester can be written both at the university and in cooperation with a company - even abroad. Anyone who has successfully completed their bachelor's degree can go on to a master's degree and thus further specialize professionally, e.g. B. with a master's degree in mechanical engineering (M.Sc.).

    Методика оценки заявок

Average grade of university entrance qualification

The average grade of the university entrance qualification is multiplied by a factor of 3.

    Weighted individual grades

    (1) The best average grade in the individual examination subject achieved in the upper level or the average grade of the individual grades in the subjects

    1. Mathematics
    2. German
    3. English (alternatively the highest-graded continuing foreign language) and
    4. Physics (alternatively the highest graded scientific or technical grade)

are multiplied by factor 6 (mathematics), factor 1 (German), factor 1 (English or best-graded advanced foreign language) and factor 3 (physics or, alternatively, the best-graded scientific or technical grade). The points achieved are added up.

    (2) Foreign grades must be converted into German grades according to the KMK guidelines. If German is not the national language, the result achieved in the subject German will be replaced by the result achieved in the national language; In this case, German can be considered a foreign language.

    Previous experience

    (1) Completed vocational training in a technical training occupation is awarded 2 points.

    (2) A relevant practical professional activity of at least one year in a technically oriented industrial area is awarded 1 point.

    (3) Completion of the federal voluntary service or a comparable voluntary service is assessed with 1 point per six months, up to a maximum of 2 points.

    (4) The points in paragraphs 1 to 3 are added together.
