Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Physics – Bachelor 100%"

The Physics bachelor's degree is organized by the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy. It provides students with the scientific fundamentals and methodological skills that are required to start a career in the field of physics in research, development and administration and, in particular, enable them to pursue a consecutive master’s degree in physics. For students who want to become a teacher at a grammar school, there is the possibility of in-depth training within the framework of the specialization subject "Teacher Training at Gymnasium Physics".

Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Physics – Bachelor 100%"

Graduates have knowledge of theoretical, experimental and applied physics and the methods of mathematics. You will acquire practical knowledge to plan, carry out, document and present an extensive physical task on a problem from the area of the states of nature and their changes on your own responsibility. This includes practical knowledge of measurement methods and the use of algorithmic data processing, as well as the ability to work in a team. In addition to skills in independent scientific work and the presentation of their own results, graduates have developed methodological knowledge for the reception and interpretation of research literature and for the evaluation of alternative solutions in technical and interdisciplinary terms.

After all, graduates have the competence to work on a problem from the field of physics using scientific methods within a specified period. This includes the ability to recognize the interrelationships of the subject, to classify special questions in it and to be able to lead a scientific argument about them.

Международный обмен по программе обучения "Physics – Bachelor 100%"

Students in the bachelor's degree in physics can study abroad for up to two semesters.

Учебный план программы обучения "Physics – Bachelor 100%"

The total scope of the full-time bachelor's degree is 180 credit points. The standard course is completed in 6 semesters. Students are expected to work a total of around 900 hours per semester. This is only possible if the students make considerable use of the lecture-free time between the semesters.

With sufficient professional qualifications, students have the opportunity to pursue their special interests and skills in their studies from the 3rd semester onwards. This can be done on the one hand by choosing a specialization area in physics, on the other hand by taking other scientific subjects or study content that serves to acquire additional interdisciplinary qualifications.

The bachelor's degree program allows both a research-oriented orientation for students who are aiming for a master’s degree at an early stage, as well as a more practice-oriented study through the increased choice of application-oriented modules. Students who are aiming for a master’s degree already have the opportunity to get close to current research in their bachelor’s degree. Project internships, which include participation in the various research groups, and the bachelor thesis serve this purpose.

The modules that can be selected as part of the bachelor’s degree are divided into two categories: compulsory modules physics (including bachelor thesis) and mathematics, compulsory elective and elective modules. For students who want to become a teacher at grammar schools, there is the possibility of in-depth training - especially in combination with the teaching subject mathematics.
