Описание программы обучения "Psychology"
The essential questions in psychology - the science of human behavior and experience - are:
- Which laws of behavior and thinking apply to all people in a similar way? Which processes affect us below the threshold of awareness ( General Psychology )?
- What are the brain physiological and hormonal bases of human behavior (Biological Psychology)?
- How do people differ in their abilities, interests, feelings and other mental characteristics, and what are these differences (Personality Psychology)?
- How can one recognize these mental characteristics (Psychological diagnostics)?
- How do skills and feelings, attitudes and motives develop and change over the course of life (Developmental Psychology)?
- How do people communicate with each other, when do they misunderstand, how do they express conflicts, what influence does the social and cultural environment (social psychology and intercultural psychology) exert
- And most importantly, how does psychology get its results? How can one recognize technical errors, misunderstandings and scientific fake news and distinguish it from reputable findings (methodology)?
The Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the Psychological University combines all these questions in basic, practical and methodological courses, so that students can tap into the diversity of the subject psychology. In addition to this, the Psychological University of Berlin attaches great importance to a practice-oriented and application-oriented education when studying for a bachelor's degree.
In our undergraduate psychology program students acquire knowledge about mental disorders and their treatment, about the psychology of work motivation and workload, get to know leadership and conflict control on a psychological basis and deal with family psychology, education and lifelong education.
At the Psychologische Hochschule Berlin, we do not teach the individual psychological fields of application in isolation, but in their mutual interdependencies. In doing so, we follow our basic maxim: Psychological counseling, education and practice must rest on solid scientific foundations. For this, the Bachelor Psychology has a sound basis.

In contrast to the usual place allocation according to Numberus Clausus, the selection of applicants at the Psychological University of Berlin is also based on the personal suitability of the applicants, which is assessed in individual interviews.
