More details about Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences:
Our university has 5,800 students registered in a multitude of technical and economic programmes, approximately 140 professors in three faculties, two central institutes, about 140 partner universities, and a modern administrative department. But what lies behind these figures? The answer is quality in practically oriented instruction, innovative strength in applied research, and a campus in attractive surroundings, the focal point of which are the students.
A key feature of our university is its marked application orientation. We educate students into managers and specialists who are in demand on the employment market. Our dynamically successful region with its distinct economic structure gives us just the right framework conditions. Integral to every degree programme are practical placements and projects as well as cooperations with regional companies. Our university is also characterised by its family character. Our individual supervision ensures the success of our high-quality educational qualifications.
Our students are able to pursue careers starting from a bachelor's and leading on to a master's degree and further to a cooperative doctorate, the latter with employment at our research institute. We offer companies a number of types of cooperation, and we are happy to have partners – not only for our dual study programme, in which we are market leaders in Bavaria. We also support further education and offer a wide range of part-time programmes for people in employment. Possibilities for cooperation also exist in the research sector. In 2008 and 2010, we added ground-breaking impetus to the Bavarian research landscape, with the Bavarian Innovation Prize and the approval of the first research building at a German university of applied sciences. In June 2016, we achieved a further milestone in our development with the opening of the CARISSMA research building.
