Media educators design and implement projects for media education.

Responsibilities

Media educators introduce the responsible use of media. They develop didactic concepts, compile teaching materials and recommendations and carry out corresponding projects for various target groups and areas of application such as schools, day-care centers or training and further education institutes. In courses and seminars, for example, they teach students and parents how to use the Internet, or they train teachers in the sensible use of computers, films or educational software in the classroom.

As part of media projects, they shoot e.g. a film with children from a youth center. It can also be part of your job to adapt media for certain target groups. Media educators are also active in the editorial offices of print media and radio stations and, for example, make film recommendations.

Promote media literacy

The aim of media education is to promote media literacy among young people and adults.
