Production managers in film and television production organize the production process of film and television projects. They create shooting schedules as well as calculations, cost statements and accounts, look for financing options and conduct negotiations with banks, for example. They book the studio for the production, conclude contracts with actors and cameramen, for example, procure the technical equipment and, if necessary, props and organize accommodation for those involved. During production, they monitor compliance with the shooting time and budget as well as with occupational health and safety regulations. In the post-production phase, they are responsible for the organizational and financial completion of the filming, for example they prepare the final accounts.
