The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering/Environmental Technology (MB/UT) trains the engineers of tomorrow.

Our range of courses leading to a bachelor's degree include courses in mechanical engineering, mechatronics and digital automation, plastics technology, patent engineering, biological and environmental process engineering as well as energy technology and energy efficiency.

In addition, you can specialize in two master's courses: in innovation-focused mechanical engineering or in environmental technology, you can deepen your knowledge and set the course for a successful career. So you are perfectly equipped for the future.

In addition to teaching, research is a central topic at our faculty. One example of many: our competence center for combined heat and power generation. Since 2012, this has bundled the research activities and know-how of our faculty in terms of resource-saving energy generation.

Research and teaching form a unit in our high-tech laboratories in a special way. Theoretical and application-oriented concepts complement each other.

Around 1000 students attend the MB/UT faculty at the Amberg site. 30 professors teach here, supported by 59 employees.
In addition, 26 lecturers from practice are employed by us. We have more than 30 laboratories available for research and teaching.
