G for humanities! Our G course prepares you for the assessment test for humanities, social sciences and art courses. These include courses such as German studies, journalism, law, history, literature and art and design.
In the G-Course you will be prepared for the demanding assessment test in two semesters. The assessment test (abbr. FSP) takes place at the district government of Cologne and includes a written and an oral part. It takes place twice a year in May and November.

Who needs a G-Course?
Foreign applicants who have to attend a preparatory college in Germany and want to study in the humanities, social sciences and cultural studies. The G-course offers the necessary preparation for the assessment test (FSP) in the subjects German, German literature, history and social sciences.
What are the requirements for participating in the G-Course Compact?
You should already have the B1/B2 level in German; prior knowledge of German C1 is also advantageous.
What can you study with the G course?
If you have completed the G course at the Düsseldorf preparatory college and have successfully passed the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP) , you have the option of studying the following courses at German universities, for example:

- Theology
- Philosophy
- History
- Journalism

The G-Course at the Düsseldorf preparatory college is conducted by a qualified staff of teachers and lecturers. However, these are not only experts in the subjects of German, history, social sciences and German literature, but also experienced in preparing students who want to pass the Feststellungsprüfung (FSP).
Our lecturers prepare you specifically and intensively for B2/C1 exams such as telc B2, telc C1 Hochschule, DSH or FSP Deutsch. In this way, you can reach the right level for the G course and possibly also receive proof of German telc C1 Hochschule through successful participation in a telc exam.
During the year you will study the following subjects: literature, social science, history and German for FSP. We prepare you intensively so that you can successfully pass the FSP.
In order to guarantee your learning success, we carry out regular learning controls and exams/tests.
