The Studienkolleg of the Ecumenical Study Association (Ökumenisches Studienwerk) offers preparatory courses that prepare students for technical, mathematical, and scientific fields of study.
Participants in the preparatory course are enrolled at Ruhr University Bochum, for which a social contribution of currently approximately €330 is paid to the university each semester. After enrollment, students can use the university facilities, such as the cafeteria, libraries, computer center, student residence halls, etc. Furthermore, students are entitled to free public transport throughout North Rhine-Westphalia.
The Studienkolleg Bochum is located on a small campus with its own residence hall and student and staff apartments. The universities in Bochum, Dortmund, Gelsenkirchen, Duisburg, and Essen are easily accessible by public transport.
