The undergraduate subject Composition imparts basic scientific knowledge in music theory and musicology as well as artistic skills in instrumental and electronic music composition and leads to a first professional university degree.

  • History and repertoire: music history, instrument studies, theory of forms
  • Hearing ability and work analysis: music, harmony theory, listening and work analysis
  • Practice: instrumental playing, ear training

  • Theory: Art and media theory, introduction to musical composition
  • Science: music history, acoustics and instrument studies
