At the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel (CAU) you can study Business Chemistry as a seven-semester one-subject bachelor program. This course teaches you basic knowledge of both economics and chemistry. You benefit from a particularly application-based teaching, which helps you to answer questions as independently as possible with practical experiments.
In a study-accompanying, professional internship you gain further practical experience. If you already have relevant training, for example as a chemical laboratory technician or chemical laboratory technician, these experiences can partly be counted towards your study achievements.
In the course of your bachelor's degree, you will acquire basic scientific knowledge in mathematics and physics as well as subject-specific knowledge of general, inorganic, organic and physical chemistry. In addition, you will learn the basics of economics from the subdisciplines of business administration, management, statistics and economics.
The Chemistry section of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences actively supports you in your planning for a semester abroad. Partnerships with Lund University (Sweden), the Université de Nantes (France) and the Universidad de Vigo (Spain) make these plans easier.
With the completion of your Bachelor's degree you are qualified for the direct entry into professional life. As an employee in the operational organization, in purchasing, in sales and sales, at the interface between R & D and sales, in management consultancy, environmental protection and recycling, but also in non-governmental organizations (NGO) you are in demand. A subsequent, postgraduate study of Business Chemistry, which you can also take part-time at the CAU, offers you further perspectives.
