This course teaches the basics of business education, business administration, economics and educational science.
In addition, students choose a second subject from the range of business administration, chemistry, German, German as a foreign language, English, Protestant religion, French, history, computer science, mathematics, Russian and Spanish.
Upon completion of this interdisciplinary and practice-related course of study, the students acquire the technical and didactic knowledge which are prerequisites for a subsequent master's degree in business education.
The course, its curriculum and the design of the teaching and learning processes are geared towards the development of professional and business pedagogical professionalism.
To this end, the students are familiarized with the central content of vocational and business education and the specialist sciences in a way that enables them to reflect on practical problems in a theory-based manner and to develop and implement subject-based solutions. It is also about the ability to independently develop the current scientific status of the discipline across the professional and life span through its own further training.
In addition to professional knowledge and skills, the desired professional competence also includes affective and volitive components and has a clear reference to the pedagogical tasks, structures and problems of the field of action.
