Conservation and Restoration

University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economics (HTW Berlin)

Graduate Summer Semester

Cultural assets are tangible and intangible evidence of human history; they document the development of a society and culture. In this way, they not only promote the identity of a society in the now, but ultimately also influence their further development. Tangible cultural assets such as photographs or videos, machines or textiles, ceramics, buildings or weapons are at risk of decay or have already been affected. Planning, preparing and implementing their preservation according to the latest scientific findings as well as enabling them to be authentically perceived are the tasks that the graduates of the master's degree course in "Conservation and Restoration" can perform professionally.
