There is hardly an area that does not benefit from data science and artificial intelligence: autonomous driving, digital voice assistants, industrial automation, gaming, chatbots in marketing and media or warning systems for impending environmental disasters and diagnostic systems for diseases.

The six-semester Bachelor program "Data Science and Artificial Intelligence", which starts right here, started in the winter semester 2019/20.

The course is based on the cornerstones of data analysis and automation: from mathematics and statistics to machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, data management, modeling and simulation or even data visualization.

Techniques from very different disciplines complement each other in order to analyze data, automate processes and construct and process models that enable autonomous action.
