Digitalisation, Innovation and Information Management

University of Applied Sciences Bremerhaven

Graduate Summer Semester

The new Digitalization, innovation and information management course started in the summer semester of 2017. The course is characterized by its interdisciplinarity, which is explicitly lived through the composition of the student group and tandems of the lecturers in the modules from the various specialist disciplines.
In the age of 4.0 technologies, the boundaries between information technology and organisation are becoming increasingly blurred. Organisational strength and communication skills are becoming more and more important as digitalisation progresses: Applicants as well as employees must not only have technical qualifications and skills, but should also be capable of designing processes and implementing projects. In order to do justice to the complexity of the processes, the necessary interdisciplinary knowledge from the areas of computer science and business administration is imparted in this degree programme. However, the topic of digitalisation is not only interesting in terms of the labour market. Digitalisation also offers a range of exciting topics with regard to research activities. Whether Big Data, Industry 4.0, Social Media Analytics or E-Learning, the spectrum of research topics is limitless.
