In this model course of study, the students are to be prepared for their later role as doctors right from the start. This is guaranteed by a close link between the basic medical subjects and the actual medical subjects and a comprehensive scientific education. The classic division of studies into a pre-clinical and a clinical phase is no longer present, so that the students get an early insight into their later field of activity. The modules are also organized according to organs and symptoms, which eliminates the otherwise common abstract subject structure.
