The aim of the degree program is an economic and engineering education, which on the one hand qualifies for qualified activities in interface areas between business and technology and on the other hand for participation in further Master's programs. The program is intended to enable graduates to perform tasks in companies, non-profit organizations and public authorities, for which both economic and technical skills are required. Industrial engineers manage the balancing act between business and technology - they are, so to speak, mediators and translators, translating economic claims into technology and vice versa. This is possible because they speak the language of economists as well as those of mechanical engineers or electrical engineers.
