Industrial sales encompasses all forms of sales processes in the B2B (business-to-business) area and all actions within the value chain. This begins, for example, with the preparation of an offer for a hard drive or a pizza box, continues with the production and delivery of the goods and ends with the "after sales service" and the spare parts business. Students on the Industrial Sales and Innovation Management (MISIM) master’s course at HTW Berlin acquire detailed knowledge of all stages of the industrial sales process. The precise organization of logistics is just as much a part of the course as customer-specific sales. The focus of the course is on all technical products from the pizza carton mentioned in the example to complex capital goods. But software and services are not neglected at MISIM either.
By imparting specialist knowledge about all areas of industrial sales as well as sound management knowledge, the course prepares you for assuming management responsibility, be it in product or key account management, in sales management or in innovation management. Recognizing potential for improvement - and applying the art of omission - this is also what the students learn in the Industrial Sales and Innovation Management master’s program.
