The study of medicine is uniformly regulated nationwide by Section 1 of the Medical Licensing Regulations (ÄAppO). The training is intended to impart basic knowledge, skills and abilities in all subjects that are required for comprehensive health care for the population. The training to become a doctor is carried out on a scientific basis and is practice and patient-related.
