The New Revised Medical Curriculum program allows Charité to offer students a course that is founded on new teaching and learning concepts, as well as on the need for practical medical experience.
Following on from its long tradition of medical excellence, Charité's Faculty of Medicine is striving to become a national and international leader in medical teaching, with a particular focus on quality, satisfaction, and sustainability.
The school is constantly developing new ways of optimizing all aspects of teaching, and engages in targeted education research aimed at further developing teaching, learning, and assessment formats.
Through quality teaching, delivered by dedicated staff and combined with a high degree of support for students, the Faculty hopes to instill in the next generation of physicians
in order to enable them to meet the ever-changing challenges facing medicine, science, and society, and allow them to be accepted as leading experts in health care.
In-depth knowledge, in addition to an understanding of the fundamental scientific principles and methods, are essential for the successful application of acquired skills and psychosocial competencies in diagnosis and treatment. This training aims to enable students to understand and critically discuss the scientific and medical significance of hypotheses, concepts, and methods. This training therefore also ensures the continued evaluation and implementation of new research findings by physicians in clinical practice. Charité, its teaching staff, students and graduates all share an equal commitment to achieving excellence in medical education.
