The development, manufacture and use of pharmaceuticals is a research and economic field that is subject to increasing interdisciplinarity. At the same time, the requirements in the individual subjects are constantly increasing due to the knowledge gained.
The Pharmaceutical Institute of the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen is the largest in Baden-Württemberg: More than 700 students are currently studying here, who are supervised by ten professors, three junior professors and more than 60 academic staff. All pharmaceutical subjects are represented in research and teaching by professors from the Pharmaceutical Institute. The long tradition of introducing students to scientific research through a six-month pharmaceutical diploma thesis has been developed into an interdisciplinary and international Master of Science. The M. Sc. Since WS 13/14, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies has offered pharmacy and B. Sc. Students from biomedical and natural sciences subjects a broad spectrum of deepening and specialization in pharmaceutical sciences.
