JUNIOR PROFESSORSHIP (W1) FOR
"IBERO-ROMAN CULTURAL STUDIES WITH A FOCUS ON LATIN AMERICA"
In the Faculty of Philology, a junior professorship (W1) for "Ibero-Romance cultural studies with a focus on Latin America" is to be filled in the Romance seminar on April 1st, 2022.
Requirements:
The future holder of the position should represent cultural studies with a focus on Latin America (including Brazil), but also take the Iberian Peninsula into account. In addition, the ability to teach and research in Spanish literature is expected. The teaching load is mainly in the M.A. and Master of Education (teaching degree) in Spanish.
This junior professorship is expected to pursue an excellent research project, particularly in Latin American Studies.
The appointment is limited to three years. After a positive evaluation, an extension for a further three years is planned.
Requirements for an application are an excellent Romance studies or comparable doctorate as well as proof of special suitability for academic teaching and the willingness to participate in academic self-administration. The appointment requirements according to § 36 ff. Higher Education Act NW must be met.
Further expected:
- a high level of commitment to teaching;
- the willingness to engage in interdisciplinary scientific work;
- the willingness and ability to acquire third-party funded research projects.
