Карьерные перспективы по завершению программы обучения "Biochemistry"
The pathway of biochemists often leads to the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, to state investigative and regulatory agencies, and to research and education institutions. The fields of activity covered there cover a broad spectrum (for example research and development, production, quality control, sales, marketing).Representative surveys on the labor market for biochemists make it clear that the demand for biochemists will continue to increase in the years to come, especially as it can be expected that scientific and medical neighboring disciplines will also attract more professionals with biochemical training.Due to the high degree of flexibility and the broad, basic education, it is relatively easy for biochemists to familiarize themselves with other fields of work, so that a longer-term unemployment of the graduates is not to be expected.Ожидаемые результаты программы обучения "Biochemistry"
The aim of the six-semester study program is to teach students the molecular basis of the chemical reactions and interactions of a cell. In addition to biochemical content, the basics of chemistry, physics, mathematics and biology will be discussed first. In addition to imparting theoretical knowledge in lectures, training in internships is one of the main focuses. In order to provide students in practical training access to all modern biochemical, cell biological and biophysical techniques, the PaulEhrlich Institute and the Max Planck Institute Institute for Biophysics two further research institutions involved in the training. The Erasmus program also allows for international exchange, e.g. with the universities of Oxford and Strasbourg. Options and specializations in higher semesters complete the individual offer of the degree program.Стажировки и практика в программе обучения "Biochemistry"
As in all natural sciences, practical training also plays an important role in biochemistry. Every semester there is at least one laboratory internship on the curriculum, which takes up most of the time. As part of the elective course, an internship can be completed in Germany or abroad.Учебный план программы обучения "Biochemistry"
In addition to imparting theoretical knowledge in lectures, training in internships is also a focus. In order to provide students with practical access to all modern biochemical, cell biological and biophysical techniques, the Georg-Speyer-Haus and Paul Ehrlich -Institut two further research institutions involved in the training. The Erasmus program also allows for international exchange, e.g. with the universities of Oxford and Strasbourg. Options and specializations in higher semesters complete the individual offer of the degree program. The study program is accentuated by two elective courses or a four-week internship abroad. There is no professional restriction in the elective area. Thus, the study can be directly supplemented by scientific content of other departments, or by choosing courses from one of the other 15 subject areas the gaze outside the box to be dared.Факультет

Application Procedure
This degree program is university-restricted admission-restricted (NC). In this procedure, 20% of the places will be awarded after a waiting period and 80% according to the result of a selection procedure to be carried out by the university. The waiting period is the time between the Abitur and the application (except study period). An overview of the NC-values of the past semesters can be found here.
In-house selection procedure - Biochemistry / Bachelor of Science (WS only)
The selection is based on the result of a selection interview. Here are the dates of the interviews. If the number of applicants exceeds three times the number of places to be awarded, a ranking will be made according to the average grade of the university entrance qualification. The best candidates for this ranking will be invited to the selection interview (see also information on the subject of study and the subject area).
