The study program includes an extensive curriculum that covers the international areas of politics and economics, ecology and ethics, legal regulations and cultural concepts as well as the art of diplomatic negotiations. The students should gain an in-depth understanding of the use of diplomacy as a driving force in resolving conflicts. They also learn how to promote the exchange of knowledge and values as mediators for other cultures. With an intense focus on these critical areas, students are able to pursue careers in diverse fields, including diplomacy, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, business, research and media.

The educational goal of the "International Relations" degree program is to acquire competence based on broad and critical interdisciplinary knowledge and understanding in the overlapping area of political, economic and social sciences and a focus on the special features of international relations, issues in an international context To penetrate and analyze with the help of scientific theories, principles and methods, to evaluate and interpret facts in an international context with the help of scientific theories, principles and methods and to act competently, appropriately and effectively as well as sustainably and ethically reflected in international contexts and in Institutions, organizations or companies that operate internationally or deal with international issues, analyses, advice or support, develop resources for action, shape relationships, develop potential f For change, for the perception of managerial tasks and for the active shaping of roles and responsibilities in teams.
This competence is supplemented by the language competence in two foreign languages required in international relations and the ability to put it into practice, which is practiced in practical projects and the internship.
An integral part of the objective is a distinctive personality development, which is based on ethical-normative questions and social implications and consequences of one's own actions.
