The English-taught Master's program in Communication Design at UE focuses on linking theory and practice in the design process in order to develop meaningful and orientating solutions. The program promotes creative design skills, knowledge of the theories and history of art and design, the ability to critically analyze contemporary phenomena, and practical knowledge of corresponding analog and digital media implementation.
The program combines the fields of art and design, culture, and the humanities. Social, economic, political, and institutional issues are addressed and reflected upon using a broad spectrum of academic discourses and made visible in the design process. This enables graduates to actively participate in the development and shaping of globally networked cultures.
