In this study course, the important core topics of computer science are taught as well as the exciting and sophisticated concepts, methods and tools of IT security.

Automotive, power, financial services, healthcare, logistics or administration - no matter which industry they look at, there is none that works today without computer systems or computerized business processes. At the same time, new developments - such as Augmented Reality, Big Data, Cloud Computing, Wearables and Industry 4.0 - to change entire industries forever. IT security is always part of it, because you own the future.

Practical and future-oriented from the beginning

Since IT security is a very practical field of application, the degree program IT Security attaches great importance to a high degree of practical relevance. It is important to train students in practical information security from the very beginning. Already in the first semester, the students therefore learn to deal independently with methods and tools in the field of offensive security (hacking). Practical instruction is also of great importance in the further course of studies. Events such as cyber security, network and system security as well as offensive security are therefore always accompanied by extensive internship and lab exercises. Advanced topics such as digital forensics, cryptography or reverse engineering also have a high priority in the study course of the bachelor program IT Security.
